We were nominated to participate in Capture the Colour travel photo contest by two great fellow bloggers: Irina of Trips That Work and Henry of Fotoeins. Great thanks for this! It is tight, but we managed to select our favourite blue, green, red, white and yellow photos just a couple of days before the deadline. Phew – we are in and here is the result of our selection:
Dear readers and participants of the 46th Travel Photo Roulette!
Our sincere apologies for the delay in announcing the winner and therefore the next host of the contest, but now the time has come. This was a very difficult decision to make. Many of the photos touched our hearts, but unfortunately there can only be one winner. You’ll find out who it is in a second, but first let us list our top 5 favourties (in no particular order)…
On the weekend we hiked along the picturesque Mühlenwanderweg, which takes you around a tiny village of Simonswald in Southern Black Forest. This was the perfect thing to do just one week before Catalin’s departure to India. This hike is a great way to see rural Germany just the way it’s described in tour guides and I’m hoping this is the way Catalin will remember it in the next 3 months when being far away in Asia
To our huge surprize last week our photo of a monuments in the Gobi desert won the 45th round of the Travel Photo Roulette
with the theme “Surreal”. We are extremely honoured and of course very proud of ourselves (the competition was tough!) – great thanks go to Skinny Backpacker
for picking us!
It’s our turn now to be hosting the contest on our blog and we hereby announce the 46th round of the Travel Photo Roulette!
Yesterday I once again realized how great it is to be living next to the Black Forest (German: Schwarzwald) and what a pity it is that we go there so rarely! Have never been there in the middle of summer before and was absolutely amazed by how colorful the Black Forest can actually be.
